Who Else Wants the Healthiest Italian Herb Garden in 10 Days?

One of my favorite herb gardens is when I plant all Italian herbs. An Italian herb garden could include basil, garlic, onions, sage, chervil, parsley, and other herbs which are commonly used in Italian meals. It is easy to create a herb garden plan using Italian herbs if you take into account the color, height and ground coverage of each different type.

Growing Italian herbs with an indoor herb Garden Kit will enable you to control all the factors and keep them consistent so that your chances of success are greater. Do not pick all the leaves; rather, pick a few at a time so the plant has a chance to regrow. It will get larger every time leaves are picked. Keep it in an area away from your pets, as they may be inclined to either dig up or eat all those herbs before you get a chance to use them. Mark off the area, and dig up anything inside the area you want to use.

Indeed, the mere thought of Italian cooking brings to mind the aroma and taste of basil, oregano, rosemary, and garlic. Planting and cultivating your own Italian Herb Garden is simple, and will provide you with your own steady supply of fresh herbs for use in your kitchen. Grow fresh herbs like mint, basil, savory, Italian parsley, garlic chives, oregano and thyme right in the kitchen for easy access during cooking. There are many herb garden kits that you can buy that will contain everything you need to get started. The AeroGarden Italian Herb Seed Kit contains seven plug ‘n grow pre-seeded, dirt-free pods that act as miniature greenhouses for ultra-fast seed germination. Plants like basil, mint, oregano, and sage can be grown in 8 to 10 inch pots. For larger crops of herbs, 3 to 5 gallon containers should be used.

When it comes to harvesting the leaves from your Italian Herb Garden there are some things you need to consider. Individual leaves can be harvested at any time, but since the plant’s new growth isn’t as resilient as that of sweet basil, make sure not to remove more than you can use. Examples of Italian herbs that fall into this category are Sweet Basil for Italian dishes, Chives for just about anything, Dill for fish. Another factor for growing healthy herbs is the amount of light that they get during the day. I find it easier to move them into and out of the shade of the eaves when the days get so beastly hot.

What’s your take on this new AeroGarden?

I’m not sure what to think… It doesn’t seem very natural to me. I haven’t looked very far into it, but I read the overall design and purpose of it.
What do you think about this? Good and safe idea or not so much? (I’m not sure what wouldn’t be safe about it, just comparing it to growing plants naturally)

I eat organic plants, fruits, and vegetables, I don’t know if the average grocery store plant, fruit, or vegetable are grown any different.. But either way, just want to know what your take on this is. Looks efficient, though I would probably be hesitant in using it.
Thanks in advance : )

I got one for xmas. I started it on New Years and and it’s still producing lettuce. It’s really easy, which is good because I have a black thumb when it comes to traditional gardening.
I don’t know what the nutrient tablets are made from, but other than water, there isn’t anything else involved except the light. It’s a really bright light, so you will need to keep your aerogarden somewhere where the light won’t bother you at night.
