Secrets of French Country Decor in Your Home!
Today more than ever, French and country style gains applause from thousands of homeowners wanting to completely re-decorate their living space at the cost they can afford. But, although you can make your next home beautification project on a budget, nothing is cheap about French country decor and the impression it creates. Just ask all those new visitors to your refurbished abode…
The essential elements of French Country home décor are as rich, enduring and comforting as the earth itself: each piece making up your French country kitchen oozes practicality and discrete elegance; fabrics, wall decor, oak kitchen table and chairs form the center. The array of colors, from light and creamy to deep and earthy, and hand-rubbed finishes evoke images of sun-drenched fields of lavender, wine grapes ripening in vineyards, and a timeless, unhurried, gracious style of living. The French Country home is a home filled with love, and nowhere is that more evident than in its kitchen.
The focal point of the French Country kitchen is the dining table, where the entire family gathers to share meals and create memories. A certain degree of “relaxed” elegance characterizes French and country style with splendid lines. Recognizing the ideal table fitting your French country home is easy, for it grasps your heart when you see it for the first time. When you place your hand on its polished wood, it will feel like home.
Your dining table can be made even more impressive, by hanging an old chandelier above it, with all its patina on display. In the center of the table, a simple bouquet of daisies, freshly picked from the garden, in a thick ceramic crock, or a shallow basket or wooden bowl with a handful of apples and a loaf of home-baked bread in it—simplicity best defines the French country style kitchen.
The French Country kitchen is designed to let in light and air, and to be a welcoming haven for visiting friends and family. Feel free to hang your favorite pieces of cookware on the walls, or on a pot rack suspended from the ceiling, where they’ll enhance your cozy decorating theme while at the same time leaving plenty of room for your loved ones. Imagine your kitchen adorned by the shining rows of copper pots, with aged timber trimmings hugging the walls, like one of many french country cottages.
Colors and textures play an important role in French Country decorating, and so do scents. Dress up your kitchen window with a miniature herb garden grown in old teacups or decorative spice tins. Culinary sensations can be easily created with all the available herbs ready for your attention. This will make your home popular with friends and family, all wanting to experience your hospitality.

- what to write in invitations.
- food
- decoration
- alcohol
thanks
put a tent on the front of the invitations and inside on next to what to bring write down camping gear. Tents, sleeping bags, etc. If they don’t know what to bring they can either call you or ask someone else. As for decorations put up things that you like. If you like bright colors get some or make some to brighten it up. As far as food and alcohol why not do a potluck sort of deal?
