Fig Tree Ministries is based on
Matthew 21:21 (The Message)
21-22But Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Yes-and if you embrace this kingdom life and don’t doubt God, you’ll not only do minor feats like I did to the fig tree, but also triumph over huge obstacles. This mountain, for instance, you’ll tell, ‘Go jump in the lake,’ and it will jump. Absolutely everything, ranging from small to large, as you make it a part of your believing prayer, gets included as you lay hold of God.”
we at Fig Tree Ministries encourage the men who come through our doors to overcome huge obstacles in their lives instilling in them the word of truth, that they are more then conquerors in Christ Jesus and that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them.
Romans 8:37
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me

propagating fig cuttings?
what is the best way to propagate fig cuttings. i live in NY and my cuttings are from my uncles house in NC. I don’t know what kind of fig it is, all i know is they are green figs. I took cuttings from the bottom of the tree(new growth) because that is where he trimmed so I don’t know if that is the proper place to take cuttings. they are not really green but not hard wooded either. any tips?
I have a fig tree and have found the best way to get the cuttings to root is wait till the leaves have died back and the tree is dormant. Then we just cut 3 to 4 foot twigs off, put them in water to cover two bud bumps and keep them in the garage over the winter. They will sprout roots from the bud bumps and we plant them in spring when the last freeze has passed.
Check the freeze tolerance for your type of fig. They may not be able to live in NYs colder climate during the winter.
