Lost in Translation, Japanese water garden.?
I was just wondering if anyone here knows the name and location of the water garden that the girl in the film Lost in Translation visits. I THINK it’s in Kyoto somewhere…

Yes, it is the Heian Jingu Shrine in Kyoto. I went there in September and it really is a great place, as is the rest of Kyoto. It is not too far from Higashiyama which is Japanese for Eastern Mountain, andthe Heian Jingu shrine itself is in the Marutamachi-dori, which is one of the eastern Kyoto provinces. It has its own website which is quoted in the source. I hope that this suffices.
