Wash it when it’s dirty, not on a schedule. If your scalp is itchy, that’s a sign that you need to wash it.
If you’re seeking growth, use a conditioner every time you wash it and a moisturizing product once a week or so.
Neither rinsing nor shampooing slows growth. However, shampooing without rinsing well, or failing to condition, can dry the ends, causing them to break more readily, so it seems like your hair’s growing slower than it should.
