Is it illegal to remove sand from a California beach?
We want to make a life size zen garden, and would need to take a large amount of sand from a beach in So Cal. Is that legal?
It shouldn’t be illegal to take a little bit, but it would be wrong to take a lot. Now, to define the difference between a little and a lot, you have to ask yourself, 1) will taking this much really hurt the environment or anyone else? and 2) if everyone took this much would that hurt the environment or anyone else?
